Batch Actions and Distributable Items for True Cost of Goods (CoGs)

Enhancement Description: We are excited to announce two highly requested features that enhance the efficiency and accuracy of managing line items on bills: Batch Actions for Multiple Line Items and the ability to make any item distributable for calculating the "True Cost of Goods" (CoGs).

• Batch Actions for Multiple Line Items:
  • Selecting Multiple Items: Users can now hold Ctrl (or Cmd on a Mac) when clicking on the Item column to select multiple items. Clicking on a selected item again will un-select it.
  • Selection Summary: A summary of the selected items, including count, quantity, and total, will be displayed.
  • Batch Action Options:
    • Delete Items: Delete the selected items in one go.
    • Collapse Items: Consolidate the selected items into a single sub-total line item.
    • Additional Actions: Copy and paste the assigned item, account, or class to the selected items. This function is similar to the down arrow button next to the column header but limited to the selected items only.

• Distributable Items for True Cost of Goods (CoGs):
  • Default Distributable Charges: Shipping, Discount, and Tax charges are flagged as distributable by default, indicated by a calculator icon next to the item total.
  • User-Defined Distributable Items: Users can now make any item distributable by selecting the action arrow on the item line and clicking "Make item distributable." A calculator icon will appear near the item description, which will distribute the total across all standard line items in a weighted calculation.
  • Enhanced Cost Calculation: In cases where users want to distribute a particular charge not flagged by default, they can now designate it as spreadable or distributable.

These enhancements significantly improve the management of line items and the accuracy of cost calculations, providing powerful tools for users to streamline their workflows and ensure precise financial records.
